A comprehensive speech and language assessment provides an in-depth understanding of your child's communication strengths and areas of needs. The evaluation may include a review of developmental history, caregiver interview, standardized assessments, clinical observations and analysis of your child's speech, language and social communication skills.

Following the assessment, families receive a detailed summary of findings, recommendations, and individualized next steps to support your child's communication development. When appropriate, therapy recommendations and strategies for home support are provided to help families feel confident in supporting your child's progress.

Ages: School-Age Children - 5-19 years of age

Individualized speech and language therapy is driven by the results and findings of the comprehensive speech and language assessment. Therapy is designed to support children in developing functional communication skills and addresses each child's specific communication needs through targeted, evidence-based strategies designed to support progress across every day settings. Families are also provided with guidance and strategies to support continued growth beyond therapy sessions.

Our consultations are designed for families seeking guidance and strategies to support their child's communication development at home and at school.

Home Consultation:

This service provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, review parents' observations and documented communication needs, and develop practical strategies that can be incorporated into daily routines. This consultation package includes:

* Two 45 minute parent consultation sessions

* One 30 minute observation of the child in the natural environment

* Individualized recommendations and strategies to support communication at home.

School Based Speech and Language Consultation:

This service is designed for families seeking support in understanding school based speech and language services and navigating the special education process. This consultation provides a professional review of available school documentation and guidance regarding recommendations and next steps. This consultation package includes:

* Review of school-based speech and language evaluation reports

* Review of proposed Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) speech and language goals and recommendations 

* One 45 minute parent consultation session to discuss findings, provide clarification, and offer recommendations for supporting the student's communication needs and academic success.

No. At this time, Destined to Speak Speech and Language Services operates as a private pay only practice and does not participate with or bill insurance companies directly.

​

Upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance provide for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance plan and providing a superbill does not guarantee payment.

Before beginning services, families are responsible for contacting their insurance provider to determine coverage requirements, including whether prior authorization is needed.
